As part of the Luthuli Museum's commitment to a new museology concerned as much with memory and the intangible as with more conventional museum artefacts, we have been involved in a rigorous process of collecting and repatriating oral histories, which we consider part of our audiovisual collection. Also included in this collection is raw film footage of interviews with Chief Luthuli's family, friends and associates, which was produced for two documentaries that focus on the Chief's life.
